Cool I had one about five years ago......

It happened right after I woke up in the morning.

There were zip-zagging flashes of light in random geometric patterns.

Only in my right eye.

I think the flashes were still there with my eye...

I'd set the value as if it were a core block and some parts.

Presume that you will have to replace everything as in a normal rebuild.

And if the block is a 500557 casting, that value would drop to close to zero.

That manifold will be a problem.

Not only is there only one temp sender hole, the exhaust crossover ports will be a mismatch to your heads.

Like Mr. G. says, pick up a 1968-71 intake and a qjet with a straight fuel inlet and...

Here's a link to an eBay listing that shows the accordion tubes that the factory used

The factory ran all the wiring from the body into the doors through fairly large accordion tubes between the doors and the kick panel area.

Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of these on a...

ACDelco C349 caps are still black with brass terminals.

We buy them on Amazon. Last bought some mid-2023.

They are even Made in USA. :)

We use old stock Mallory or Accel rotors with the longer tip when we can find them.

George is THE man when it comes to electrical gremlins on this Forum.

If he tells you how to fix an electrical issue, be assured that following his advice will absolutely fix it.

Thanks George!

I remember seeing something similar to this when MSD first became popular.

My recollection is a bit fuzzy as this was forty-plus years ago......

My younger brother had a 1977 Nova with a built-up 350 in it. 11:1, big hydraulic cam, Torker, Holley 750, Hooker headers. ...

ClOwN ShOw......

OP has
Absolutely
:confused2:
NO
:smash:
Clue.

The day that ANY tripower intake with one missing carb is worth $15k, I'll eat it. Literally. Because that will NEVER happen. Ever.

Check your rockers on that side.

Take out the four bolts and gently lift the valve cover off.

Might see something that has slipped off.......

If not, just wiggle each rocker arm to make sure they're adjusted right.

If one...

Vacuum advance line to distributor goes to the lower right port on the front that you...

Never, ever use a 12-point wrench or socket on a stuck bolt.

12-point tools strip things WAY too easily. Just not enough gripping surface.

Dremels or a carbide burr will be a waste-of-time. Been there and done that.

Mgarblik's method is absolutely the...

Oldsmobile 'O' type rearend

12-bolts in the cover but 10-bolt guts.

Decent rear-ends but no stronger than a normal 10-bolt.

That appears to be off 1 tooth on the top gear.

You'll want them lined up much better than that.

Don't waste money on an aftermarket intake.....

Other than the weight, they're not any better than the original intake.

A factory cast-iron quadrajet intake will work better and actually make more power for a street cruiser.

Any year up to...

You're not that far off.

I'd be taking a peek at those rod bearings while you can see them......

I'd speculate that there was a bit of bearing noise and the dealer overfilled the pan to mask the noise. Ethical? No, but they're a used car dealer, so ethics are most likely NOT a priority.

We've always used chamber depth, measured like you, as an indicator of milling.

Like you said, Pontiac heads are VERY consistent with chamber sizes/depths.

There are two vacuum hookups and one foam filter.

The vacuum hose from the fitting in the rear base of the carb goes to the single hose fitting sticking straight out the end with the wiring harness plugged into it - usually at the front. This needs...

Yup, that's what it is.....

That's definitely the TCS solenoid.

Early 70s smog stuff.

We normally bypass them, too.
