Glad that worked out for you... thats how GM adjusted the deck lids on all cars with that type of hinge set up. Yours looks as good now as any others Ive seen.

There are smaller shims that look...

These cars body panel fitment was never perfect from the start, Ive seen original lower mile cars back when they were new(er) and lower mile cars and restos today that arent perfect and vary from car...
