Just curious as to why would you change to the newer type of oil filter that filters less (cartridge type has more filter element) and is by far less messy because of a drain plug???

1960 is the last year the Pontiac V-8 was called the Tempest V-8. When the Tempest came out in 1961 Pontiac started calling the 389 the Trophy V-8.
