I see that too. Looks very similar. I would imagine a lot of GM cars used them in the era. Such a interesting design for sure.

It confirms the round flattened area for the clips. I would guess the 68 insulation was the same, but the reality is we don't really have a choice anyway as far as a repop goes....

These are from Ames parts look up. first Has a relief for the fan shroud & air cleaner.
Looks like circular areas for the retainers which is interesting. I do have a handful...

Do the 68 & 69/70 hoods have the same insulation? Meaning it tucks into the same areas at the front & back of the hood & uses the same clip locations?
I know the hoods are different...

For those of you with hood insulation, could you post a few picts, or maybe some comments on what brand you purchased & fitment? Trying to decide if I want to install one & am surprised I can't...
