Did he happen to mention when you cut coils it also increases the spring rates?

My experience with that has never been great. Starts riding like a dump truck pretty quick.

I've always had an in dash tach, both original and aftermarket from Ames. No issues at all working with HEI. Only complaint I have is brightness.
