Good luck. Mine has 70K on it and no rust issues ever but two things are working against you. Dry climates mean the interior is toast if outside and better ones mean rust and I am not talking about...

I pulled 2000# with my 65 tempest wagon. It had the tow package that included the extra crossmember. With a 455 in it I almost did not know it was back there.

Looking at getting a G8 next month...

As I remember the hooker headers that were for a 301/2nd gen were 1-5/8". Driver side fit in my 80 Grand am was fine but I had to move two tubes on the passenger side to make them work.

Depends on the state. Some have inspections and some do not. Even the emission tests can range from a full roller test to nothing at all within the same state. Most "Inspections" are on the east...
