Just curious if you did alignment or sent it to shop. If shop did it, it would be centered or take it back. 1/4 turn is out to much if alignment was done by shop.

There should be up and down play in the input...
There should be up and down play in the input shaft when seated if no play you have something wrong. But i'm no expert on this. Just my 2 cents.

Correct, but check voltage after to make sure resistor wire is still there. Should be approx 9 volts car running, not full battery voltage.
