I would tap the holes also, it will give the epoxy something extra to bite into.
We pour alot of urethane molds where I work and that's what we do to retain the urethane to the metal backing plate....

I got mine from NPD, I think the are for a early chevelle/gto. Pretty cheap I think around $20 a set. Dont quote me on the price.
