sweat it if the price is right. Not many people stick
with the tires found on a project car anyways.

there's a circular parting line on the topside, so the nut
appears to be a weld nut?

aluminum backing plate. It's 1000X easier
to do that before you install it... HTH.

problem at all. Valvetrain isn't an insurmountable
issue.

same CR. Same intake. Negligible exhaust.
