a GP air cleaner will sit too high on the carb, you'll need to start with a Formula air cleaner with the deep, drop base. If you use the GP one, your hood won't close. Just FYI

correct, it looks very similar, if not the same, as that one. It attaches to the front, passenger side carb bolt (on top of the carb) and grounds to the bottom, metal plate on the shaker - see pic....

I think those SR flapper doors are the same ones used on the production '74 GTO functional shakers.

I, too, had one with the black foam on it.

AFAIK, not available by itself. I have one functional shaker missing that part entirely and another one that is broken, but all else fine with them, so it would be a good one to make. I have a friend...
