You are correct, the red wire supplies power to the ignition switch mounted on top of the steering column. It also probably powers the light switch which may be why it is spliced in the harness..

For the seat tracks, I just spray a lube on them...

For the seat tracks, I just spray a lube on them to keep them from getting rusty or freezing up. Maybe look into a dry lube or silicone to apply.

Remove inner structure from four fenders and weld...

Remove inner structure from four fenders and weld one pair was approximately eight hours. Pretty sure that included sandblasting the pieces before welding as well.

The green plugs are correct for 1970-73 drop offs. The silver ones are correct for later year cars and the smaller holes under the rear seat bottoms.

Just had a set of 70 and 73 locks re-keyed. Find a good local locksmith. If you need to have the ignition matched to doors, the donor must use the same letter blanks.
