I like that, I keep an oil pump shaft that broke and cost me a motor.

But did you spray anything around the gasket area...

But did you spray anything around the gasket area while running to see if the idle changed. I've done this and found vacuum leaks that I thought were sealed.

Long shot throwing it out there, have you tried...

Long shot throwing it out there, have you tried spraying a liquid like WD-40 or starting fluid something like that around the intake gasket while it is running, if there is a vacuum leak the idle...
