Kerry, I pulled my GTO to York GoodGuys in a 24 ft trailer with my 2019 F150 3.5 V6 Ecoboost and 10 speed. The truck pulled strong with the GTO loaded and barely knew the empty trailer was back there.

I installed a kit from Restomod Air in my 69. Company owner developed a kit for his wife's 69 GTO, don't know why it wouldn't fit your 68.
It's a very nice fit and quality is excellent.
