I have owned my car for 22+ years now. I drive it all year long. Of course during winter here it is hard to do, I DO NOT drive it on white roads. The most it has sat was for 3 weeks one bad winter.

Heat pumps alone can NOT handle temps that low they need a backup system when temperatures get below 28* or so. Especially if your home is not well insulated.
