Install tubular A arms 66 GTO

I have a 66 gto with O port Dougs Headers, anyone ever install A arms with Headers on?
Headers seem to be too large to slide off existing factory arms.

I have used 3.23 ratio with Auburn posi assembled \.
The Auburn was new and the Ring and Pinion were used but are in excellent shape.
I used the pair for only 2 years...
