My folks owned a restaurant and gas station in northern Alberta. One day, back in
1981 when I was 16, a guy and his wife pulled in to fill up with gas. They were driving a beautiful red 77 TA 400 4 spd with a for sale sign in the window. I got to talking to them and as it turned out, they lived in a town 85 miles north of home and were going on holidays. I didn't think too much of it at the time, but after a few days, I couldn't stop thinking about the car. He paid for his gas with a visa card, so I had his name from the card imprint. I knew the town where he lived, so I tracked down his phone number and called and called and finally reached him when he arrived home from holidays. I bought it within a few days. The rest is history. It's been the longest relationship I've ever had and about the only thing thats never let me down...lol.
