Took the car to a local reputable shop today. Wanted to get the motor compression tested before we do anything to it. It just runs like crap. Didn't get that far though. First four plugs that were pulled, one could not possibly have been firing. Moved over to the driver side and three of the plugs were caked in what appeared to be fresh oil. Don't think three of them were firing either.
Looks like I'm going to search a complete 400 and stick it in the car. At least that's what my first thought is. Budget is tight and I'd just like a healthy motor running int car Plus something I can build on in the future.
The 64 389 will go up for sale. It's a good motor, just needs a rebuild. I don't want to put money intro this motor.
