I ran original '068' cams in a couple of nearly-stock '58/'59 engines, on the street, and was happy with them. That was a long time ago- I used the Pontiac anti-pump-up lifters. Jahns domed pistons, about 13:1, was good for 6,300 RPM. 4,200 pound wagon was a pig off the line, but ran 14.4 second quarter-mile, 94 MPH.
