I've seen enough "grenade" and tops missing from HT pistons to avoid them completely. They changed the construction and top ring land location several times, and for good reason, they have had a LOT of problems with them.
Personally, with all the good over the counter forgings currently available for these engines, I wouldn't look at a cast or HT piston for any reason, even if being on a tight budget were part of the equation. Get the good pistons, hang them on a 4340 H beam rod, and sleep better at night!.....Cliff
