Ponyakr -It's a guess on 3700 lbs. The car has no insulation, aluminum radiator, water pump, heads, intake, pullies, etc. Electric fans, No AC or Heat. I have taken everything out that I dont need as a "comfortable" street car. Spotts site hasnt been updated in years so Im betting that the price has went up on that 505, because I looked at that before. Regardless of which way I go, I want to get rid of these cast rods and heavy pistons because I feel limited, even with the cam I have, because my rev limiter comes on at 5700 so I shift around 5300. I drive it on the street a lot with the 3.42 gear but it tops out around 124 now hitting the rev limiter in 3rd so if I went with any more gear it would likely run out of breath before the stripe in the 1/4. But IF I could spin it up some more, say 6500, It would be fine with a little more gear. Also, this is fuel injected, which the system I'm using supports 1200 hp. It has 78 lb injectors, 58 psi of fuel pressure. My idea on getting the port job done to 340 cfm was only if I stepped up to a large enough cam to use it. This cam that I have now was used because of the limiting factor I had at the time - the stock rotating assembly. I figured I couldnt really use more cam with the stock components still and I didnt have the cash at the time to get a better shortblock.
