Looks like it's been exposed to water, when you go to remove the jets the threads in the casting will come out with the jets, that is if they come out at all.

You could get some small parts that were salvageable, but I'd guess that carb will never sit on top of a running engine again. The castings do not do well when the float bowls get water in them.

I agree, probably a chevy carb, 75-79 era.
