There are a lot of well-known "facts" today. A couple that come to mind:
(1) All Firebirds are Trans-Am's (I saw both Smokey & the Bandit and Knight Rider).
(2) All bridges have one function (to blow up) - see any modern action movie.
As to the ad in question: if the price is commensurate with the car, and one likes the car, buy it; or negotiate WITHOUT beating up the seller.
