I heard that some had metal backing too. Maybe from you lol. Since my car was built before yours I wonder if it was a vendor sourcing issue. Would love to have the 68 Assembly Manual page for that. Pretty certain the dash assembly was done elsewhere and then shipped to the assembly plants. Would Fisher Body be responsible for that? AC Delco?
