I have a 65 with original radiator and 66 Tri-power. The 65 tri-power hose is about an inch too short to push all the way down on the 66 thermostat housing neck.

I've learned I'm not very good at angles and dangles.
My question is could I use a 66 Tri-power hose ?
I know the 66 hose is designed for drivers side outlet.

Could the extra length be cut to size and used on my 65 radiator ??
Has anyone else done this ?
Or would it end up pointing in the wrong direction ?
