well that sucks...

I have been having a little fun collecting 1968-1974 carbs... to what end, I don't know, but I am probably going to start selling the extra L78/M40 & L75/M40 carbs I have because my main fascination lays in L78/mt & L74/MT application carbs...
I nearly bought a 7041263 over a decade ago before their prices skyrocketed...

I don't know why people have to muck around with these carbs - as I see it, that carb is now worth less than if he had just left it alone, and resold it as an NOS 7041263.

What a senseless waste of a nice virgin carb.
