806C is the Bondo 'consumer' version, 5896 is the 'professional' version that comes in larger packaging and costs much more.

I've used lots of both, started out with 5896 and ran out so switched to 806C since I was half way through the job and could only get that.

The 5896 sands much easier, and is what I would buy again if I had a large area or lots of small areas to repair. Nothing wrong with the 806C, just takes a bit more time to sand.
