'67-68 manual linkages setup is different than the '65-66 setup. As someone who had an A-body shifter setup on a '67-68 car, it will bind and jam regularly on you in the 2-3 shift and leave you stuck in traffic between gears if you're without tools so definitely make an effort to find the correct linkages. They are out there, I know of a half dozen sets that guys are absolutely refusing to part with on the "just in case" front... I do believe that someone with the right know-how could fabricate the parts up as described (I am not that someone sadly...).

That said, this thread is the coolest thread on this site and I keep coming back to it. I can't wait to see it back in action and driving.
