Wow that 66 GP had a beautiful interior as well. Speed warning, AC, reclining passenger seat, fantastic. The other advantage of a four door as a buyer is the 40% hit for the extra 2 doors! I have owned a bunch of 66 full size cars and I have to say they are my favorites of the era. Only thing that would have made them better would have been disc brakes, but the 8-lugs were so cool as well. Now that I have a 62 Catalina, I really appreciate the 65-66 full size even more from a driving standpoint. The 62's are so disconnected from the driver and steer, corner and feel so flimsy compared to the 65-66. I do love the styling of the 62 however and the heritage of the SD cars. I hope it looks and drives well and ends up at your house. BTW, the AC on my 66 9 passenger wagon was the coldest and best AC on any car I have ever owned. With my family in the car pulling a 19 FT. Sea Ray at 70 MPH on the hottest summer days, it was so cold in the car you almost couldn't stand it. Never overheated.
