Bought my 68, hardtop, auto, AC, PS, PB GTO in 1976 for $1100 with 93,000 miles. Everything worked, no damage, paint was pretty tired. Drove it for about four years, put on about 30,000 miles before I took it apart for a quick restoration around 1980 .... should be back on the road for the first time this fall
So much for "quick".
