I have my 64 because it met my criteria for my next purchase: very clean, fun, not necessarily original so I can play with it without overly worrying about ruining a museum piece. And all for a reasonable price.
Early GTOs were never my favorites as I tend to prefer the late 69/early 70 styles in all muscle cars. However, almost like an arranged marriage I guess, I've grown to live it!
Specifically, I love the rarity and significance of the first muscle car for sure. I love being different and you do not see nearly as many 64s around.
I like the tail lights better on 64 v. 65. I like the machined dash.
The horizontal lights are growing I me.
I love the hood.
I really love the light weight.
Yup, I'm happy with my arranged marriage!
