Measured several different mounted Pontiac V8 pumps:
- first, a '67 PS pump with all factory mtg pieces, pulley is a "900". From the face of the block/alum pivot block surface out to the centerline of the "900" pulley was 6.75"
- second, complete restored '72 pump & brackets for my '72 T/A. Face of block/mating point of the rear steel bracket to the centerline of the 481042 PS pulley, again 6.75"
-third, a Pontiac V8 pump setup off a '68 Bird I had. early ('67-70) style PS pump sandwiched between front & rear alternator brackets from a '71+ 10 SI alt/PS set. Still 6.75 inches.

As a result, with you planning some sort of alternator mtg on the passenger side, your '71+ pulleys should line up. Just going to be interesting what you come up with to mount the alternator. Makes me wonder whats in the way that neccistatitates mounting an alternator on the passenger side?
