Very similar price comparison in the '71 GTO ranks with the 455 Dport cars (534 built), with fairly complete original drivetrains present, the L75 Dport cars are just not in the same price range with similar condition '71 455 HO cars.
Have owned two '71 455 Dport GTO hardtops, one left here as a numbers matching project, the other was parted to the ground. Over the years have also parted on two other '71 455 GTO's in longtime yards. Factory equipped with the 455 D port (YC coded) engines, these '71's & 72's typically dont create anywhere near the hard core restoration interest as same year performance Pontiac A & F-bodys equipped the round port 455HO engine.
