A 1961-1964 has a full bell housingwhere a 1956-1960 have a 1/2 bell. The 1960 linkage can not be removed unless you remove the pan, where the 56-59 linkage levers can be removed externally. There should also be a tag on the left rear of the case that should read something like P-60 etc.
1956-1959 have a bigger case with 5 pan bolts. A 1960-1964 uses 14 pan bolts.
A 1960 transmission is a 1 years only unit.
