They were made in China, but to a specification for Harbor Freight. And ultimately the customer. It seems nowadays that we can't rely on any governing or technical body to catch stuff like this, so it's buyer beware. I hate jackstanding a car but I know I have to do it, from time to time. But it creeps me out.
