Looks like the Pontiac rep there for the photo shoot said "Don't care what you do, but don't you dare cover up the shift pattern on the ball." I've never grabbed the shifter that way.

I have to go for the '65 because of the looks. The '64 started my desire, and my test drive I took in '64 had my blood boiling, but it wasn't much more that a warmed over Malibu in styling.
