Food for thought, a Ford Modular Engine Racer: (John Mohovitz) (Accufab Throttle Bodies) with a 4 valve 329 cubic inch modular engine has run 6.08 at 239 mph in the quarter (in 2008). Our best so far is the Butler/ Quillen Pontiac (489 cid engine) team with a 6.27 at 228 mph.
His camshafts have no more than .480 lobe lift times 1.8" rockers = .864 maximum lift, BUT the engine IS a 4 Valve Engine!
