Attached are the pages for 70-74 starters and all the Part #'s
As you can see, some of the internal parts change the like the Coil Field #8, Armature #10, Switch #17 and Stud lever #22 for the starter #'s I listed previously.
I" 95 % sure the HO and SD starters were "Hi-Torque", but not sure about all the applications listed. The exploded diagram shows the copper buss bar of the Hi-Torque,
but that may change with the different Coil field #'s. Just my assumption, perhaps others can add to this.

My guess is someone changed your solenoid because that's what they had that looked similar and would bolt up correctly.

I put these up as high res files so they could be printed and still be read.
