Like the others have said, count your blessings that your son is OK. I have 16 and 18 year old kids, and although they'e both responsible and good drivers, I always feel anxious when they're out and about. I know I'd be much more worried for their safety in one of the older cars. Anyways, accidents do happen. I know it stings, and I apologize in advance for the cliche, but try to look at it as part of the lifelong journey. Assess the situation rationally, set a goal, and then move forward in a productive way. I don't know what your situation is, but think it would be really cool to bring it back to life (in form or another) with your son on board.
