In the pictures there's a chain still attached to the front left frame area, betting the chain slacked and the hook dropped off, then off the trailer it went. When you chain the front without a chain tightener to keep tension on the hooks, you damn sure need something pulling the car to the rear of the trailer to keep tension on the front chain so the hooks can't slide of the link in the chain. The car also seemed to roll freely when it was on the road, seemed like it was in neutral, but this is just guessing without any real knowledge of the real facts. Day after the game quarterbacking.
But then it could be the chain got hooked to the car to haul it off the road to get it out of traffic, who knows...
