Yep the canvas I used would be similar to a heavy picnic table cloth. Biggest problem was my sewing table is just the typical industrial machine stand ... that heavy vinyl doesn't "flow" well over the edges of the table ... would have been way easier with like an 8' square table.
Lower repair wanders a bit where it's sewed to the old fabric, but that will be totally hidden from view.
The job actually made me peruse the internet for new industrial walking foot machines ... then I came to my senses and realized this was the probably the heaviest thing I would ever sew
