Default sub-frame bushings

Hello all,

This may seem like a dumb question but...I've been doing some refresh work on my 68 firebird. While underneath I noticed that the body/sub-frame bushing/mounts are all cracked and getting flattened out.

If I were to replace them, are there things I should be worried about such as body panels coming out of alignment?

One more question on this matter. Years ago I put in some hooker super-comp headers and they made contact with the floor. I had to apply some heat to them and bend them about a 1/4" to get the needed clearance. I'm now going with a new motor and a set of Doug's Headers. If I replace the body/sub-frame bushings, is there a chance that this would also improve the spacing between the floor and the headers?

Again, sorry if this is a stupid question. It just seems to me that if I add fresh bushings there could be a whole series of unexpected that might happen.

Thanks,
