Gasket for Kick panels
In the middle of a tear down and frame off restoration of a 1970 Le mans Sport convertible.
When I pulled the front Kick Panels out I found about six pounds of what looked like plumbers putty (only stickier) around the inside edges of the vent to the body of the car. What the heck is this heavy stuff, and is there an aftermarket solution to remaking this gasket?
