Let's face it. These cars did not hold up well with daily use in all forms of weather. The acrylic lacquer paint was poor at best for protection, the metal quality was suspect, and sealing methods and overall assembly quality were so-so.
So they did not age gracefully with poor care, as many were dealt with.
