Default Pontiacs cruisin' Route 66 in Arizona...

We're about one month away from this fun event, and appears that the turnout will be quite good from Arizona and from "back East."

All types and brands of vehicles may participate, but a quick look at the pre-registered roster currently indicates that most of the participants will be driving performance-oriented Pontiacs from the 1960s through 1970s. One guy is driving a motorhome, another guy has a new Challenger, another has a Mustang, and a so forth. All are welcome!

Here in Tucson, I know of at least 11 local members who'll be headed north to meet-up with the GTOAA Street Legends group as it arrives in Flagstaff late Friday afternoon during a Pontiac/GMC cruise-in at Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. Additional attendance from the Phoenix area should be even greater!

Events for these last three days (Fri-Sat-Sun) of the GTOAA Route 66 Street Legends Tour are being coordinated by Cactus GTOs (Phx GTOAA), Desert Renegades (Phx POCI) and Arizona Chapter POCI (Tucson).

If you are a member of one of those three clubs, you may attend the special Saturday Evening Pontiac Dinner in Kingman (free of charge) together with a buffet meal and Pontiac-themed entertainment afterwards which includes a program by GTOAA's Jeff Lovich, "Pet Peeves Live!" Presently, we're expecting about 60-80 individuals to be in attendance.

To learn all the latest details (especially for the Arizona events and schedule), go to www.tucsonmotorama.com

Or, you may contact me (Thom Sherwood) at 520-798-3200 in Tucson -or- Denny Deal at (623) 850-6608 in Phoenix

Get yer motor runnin' and see you there!
