DESCRIPTION
While other muscle cars were fading away, Pontiac’s Firebird Trans Am continued to sell to customers seeking looks, power and handling. The top engine choice was the new SD455 CI V-8, a hand-assembled unit incorporating a reinforced block, special cam, aluminum pistons, oversize valves and header-like exhaust manifolds. Pontiac rated the SD455 at 310 horses, much lower than its actual 360-plus HP. This SD455-equipped 1973 Trans Am is one of the best examples in existence and one of the rarest by virtue of its Brewster Green paint and Tan interior. Even better, it is also completely original except for the tires and the battery, and shows just 44,000 miles.
