For those that don't remember......

Here is what you agreed to when you registered for the PY forums:

"By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. Political and Religious topics are also prohibited because they inevitably turn hateful and sometimes threatening.

The owners and moderators of PY Online Forums reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread or member for any reason."

Just so everyone knows how the moderators are instructed to maintain appropriate behavior:

3 warnings = 30 day suspension
2 warnings after 30 day suspension = 60 day suspension
1 warning after 60 day suspension = permanent ban

Here is a perspective that I have had and posted many times but maybe some of you have never seen it or forgot about it. When I made the Lobby forum, I pictured a Lobby in a Hotel like a Marriott at the GTO Nationals or POCI Nationals. A public place where those that share a common interest could meet and 'hang out'. Would you start a heated debate about the state of the american political system in the Lobby of the Marriott? Would you show porn.? Would you tell a racial or religious jokes for all to hear in that lobby? Probably not. And if you did, you would be chastized by most of those present or you would be asked to leave. It's just not appropriate to start certain topics in 'public' areas. If for some members this type of Lobby is not entertaining enough for them, then they can find somewhere else to be entertained. We are nicely asking you (though a warning) to settle down, then we are asking you to leave. It's quite simple.
