Hers my thing.
Growing up, hunted and fished year round with father and older brother. Had to be wherever going before got light out.
Same thing older teen years with brother inlaws and nephew.
Never used an alarm clock.
Haven't had to start work till 7.30/8.00 depending on my day to open past 40 years, still get up just before gets light out no matter how late out in garage.
Average 5-6 hours sleep every night year round.
So no matter what time of year, wake up just before light out.
Do take cat naps in garage some nights...
