Either keep it or ditch it, I don’t care either way. The one observation that I note is the reports of car collisions, decreased work production, and anxiety among some people affected by the time change.
The thing is, we “fall back“ in the fall, putting us back on standard time. If the sun was to come up at 7am (on DST) then it is now up at 6am. But the sun goes down an hour earlier, so what’s the big deal. Here in Canada, you can’t win either way. The days are depressingly short in the winter and no time change is going to make it any better. In the summer, the days are very long, so who cares what time it is.
Life today is different. A lot of working people have to work all kinds of different shifts and different start and quitting times. So I don’t really see a need for switching times around.
