Clear capsule with plastic valence was 2nd style light. Pontiac made a metal valence for these capsules because they could not go back to the old metal valence as the capsules required the new style light harness.
Very cool car. Hope it stays dry. Lots of Mold and moisture in southwest AK.

My 72 Formula has a clear plastic parking lights and had traces of plastic valence. Yet had a metal valence on car when I bought it. Think there was only one style of metal valence for 70-71. 72 had plastic ones that broke and was replaceable with a metal one with parking lights that fit in fiberglass insets like 70-71.
Maybe the stainless back mirror was up per cowl tag (11/71) with speedo like 70-71 that had only brake light...My cowl tag reads 12/71 72 Formula has black mirror and non functioning seat belt warning light.
