Mark, you are right...it isn't the correct shifter. Dan has a picture of a really nice original 68 428 4-spd Ventura he saw at the POCI National Convention a few years ago (Pennsylvania?) and the shifter is straighter, longer with a subtle curve to the rear. This one is definitely an A-body shifter that came with the car. What it is from, we have no clue. The Catalina had an aftermarket Hurst Competition Plus shifter when Dan got it, so the original shifter is MIA. So, the hunt is back on for a correct bench seat shifter....Oh! The anguish!
